A Little History
Gifford Fence Company was started in 1978 by Jerry Gifford Sr. He started the company while working full time for the Nashville Metro Health Department. He would do it on weekends and holidays to help make ends meet. Eventually he became successful enough with the fence company that he decided to make it his full time job. The company has remained in the family passing to its current owner, Jerry Jr and his partners that help keep the company moving forward and providing quality fence products.
Over the years fence styles and materials have changed and we have changed with them. In the beginning it was chain link and split rail fences. Now it is customized wood privacy, vinyl or aluminum. Gifford Fence helped pioneer some of the nicer wood fence designs seen today, from our unique table top cap fence to the shadowbox cap picket fence, we took a decent fence design and made it stronger and better looking.
While the company has grown and branched out it has always maintained a simple slogan, "Do what you say you are going to do and it will get done right".
